Summary of the Position:

This is an individual contributor position responsible for the development of multimedia tools that support the USP Pharmacopeial Education instructor-led, online learning and educational marketing initiatives including educational multimedia & video materials,  eLearning, training lab/lab simulation content, instructor/expert committee member video spotlights, marketing vignettes, educational print materials, etc. Individual will focus on  expanding course development, reach and revenue and contributing to a wider variety of educational delivery methods. Also responsible for managing the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), to include posting of course content, creating custom portals for co-branding and co-licensing initiatives, updating website look and feel, and maximizing the LMS system to drive efficiency and effectiveness and high quality customer service.   

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Conduct needs assessments with subject matter experts, scientific liaisons and marketing personnel on a regular basis to determine the most effective methods of training delivery and marketing/promotional needs

·         Develop eLearning courses, including all course materials, exercises and assessments for all PE offerings.

·         Create at videos and photos for multiple training and promotional courses and materials such as laboratory technique demonstration.

·         Develop print materials for educational and marketing purposes to be distributed to current and future students such as fact sheets, course templates, brochures, and technical inserts.

·         Administer and maintain an eLearning and/or LMS platform ensuring accuracy and effective utilization.

·         Conduct, analyze, and report on results achieved by training programs in order to make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and related work experience.

Experience:

·         A minimum of 3 years’ experience in video technology is required

·         Experience with eLearning development, curriculum design, training methodologies and online education

·         Experience with creating professional, high quality print and web marketing materials

·         Experience building and maintaining courseware and participant databases

·         Prior experience supporting a LMS is also required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

·         Must be proficient with current eLearning authoring, print graphic design, and multimedia development software. Examples of desired software skills include, but are not limited to; Articulate Studio, Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Lectora, Adobe Creative Suite (Flash, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.), Apple Final Cut Pro, PowerPoint, etc

·         Experienced videographer; ability to efficiently prepare for and direct video shoots and video editing. Strong attention to detail

·         Ability to research course development techniques and delivery concepts, as well as troubleshoot and resolve technical software issues

·         Familiarity with recognized eLearning technical standards

·         In-depth, hands-on knowledge and experience of authoring technologies, internet design tools and multimedia applications

·         Strong written and oral communication skills.

·         Highly self-motivated and directed

·         Proven ability to build and manage successful relationships

·         Organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions

·         Work well under stress and pressure and ability to meet deadlines

·         Desire to increase knowledge utilizing technology
