Multiple modules and quizzes within one course
Apr 20, 2016
Hi all,
I need to incorporate 14 modules where each are only about 6 slides into one course where the learner can complete them in any order and refer back to any of them at any time. Unrestricted navigation throughout is likely the way I will set it up as these are regulatory courses that need to be completed every three years and don't want to hold up the user if they can breeze through them. There will be quizzes at end of each with no final quiz.
To do this through our LMS we would need to assign each module as a separate course thereby flooding the system with many short courses. Our LMS specialist is not crazy about that option and would like to assign one course with multiple modules.
I am fairly new to the design world and Articulate so any help would be very welcome.
Are there any instructional videos I could watch to help me do this or can anyone offer some advice?
Cheers

If I understand what you're describing -- that you want everything in a single Storyline file -- you can organize it using scenes, which is a natural attribute of SL. In other words, each scene will be a module. So a scene will include all of the module slides including the quiz slides. In the end, you'll have 14 scenes, one for each module, that will be contained within a single web-based eLearning course when you publish it in SL.
Edit to add a link to the SL tutorials:

Hi Tim, yes, that's exactly what I need to do......its scenes I am looking to create..I just couldn't think of it. Thanks for the bump. Now it just need to learn how to do this, I am a newish user and have just scratched the surface with Articulate.
Will there be buttons or list on a main slide that the user can choose which module they would like to access?
I will search how to create scenes and go from there. Any hints you may have that could help to expedite my learning would be enormously appreciated.
Cheers
Sorry...didn't see you link until now...Thanks..will check it out.
I would recommend downloading one of the templates from the download section and having a play around.
Essentially you need a menu slide which is a collection of objects (buttons or images etc) that have triggers to jump the learner to the selected scene.
Hi Tristan and Tim both,
Thanks for the assistance. I have moved one more rung up the Articulate ladder with your guidance.
Cheers
