I have set up a piece of e-learning which has been divided into 3 different business areas. As a result I have 3 different results screens. Is there any way to get our LMS to report depending on which business area was selected?
Generally, you can only track one results slide per course in Storyline. So when you have a branched course that takes learners in different directions, how can you manage reporting their progress? There are some workarounds listed in that linked article. Here's a discussion on this topic, as well, with a suggested workaround (lowering the overall passing score threshold to account for unanswered quiz questions).
I've also seen examples where the course is built with a 4th/final results slide that combines the results from the other results slide to make a cumulative passing score. In order to have the "unvisited" sections' results slides show a passing score, you can set up triggers to automatically submit the correct answers in those sections "behind the scenes" as the learner is branched down a path.
Hopefully you'll get some good design input from our community folks!
Another option (if you're comfortable messing with JS) is to use a custom score variable and send the value to your LMS. I believe you'll need to adjust something along the lines of a sendscore function in scorm_functions.js or API.js.
