Need Help with Drag & Drop Interaction

Mar 29, 2016

Working with drag & drop scenario. The design states user will click and drag  object/question to an answer.  Do not show results until user clicks submit button. User then sees correct and incorrect answers.

I am using Freeform slide and have the Base Layer set up exactly how it should work, but cannot figure out how to show correct and incorrect answers.

I have attached the file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Oh this is such a cool interaction!

The only change I made was to delete your manual triggers to change the drag-over states. Those are built-in states and should fire automatically.

Can you take a look at the demo to see if it's doing what you intended?

I attached the updated .story file.

I love what you did and hope I can keep it this way,  but my instructions are to let the users select any answer and then have a submit button display to show them the correct answers.

I was thinking of adding a trigger on the submit button that would show the correct answers by changing the states... help.. I am new at Articulate...

Sorry about that! Yes, it should be quite easy to achieve what you're after.

Here's an updated version: http://articulate-community.s3.amazonaws.com/david/2016/DragDrop-Cindy/v2/story.html

The only question is whether you want the learners to first view their choices w/ incorrect feedback or go directly to the correct answers feedback slide.

I set it up this time to allow learners to view their choices so they could see their correct and incorrect responses. A button is provided to show your "correct answers" feedback layer.

Please let me know if I'm getting closer.

Right on! I've attached the updated .story file. Please let me know if there's anything you don't understand or just want more info about. I also put a super quick screencast together that walks you through the main changes I made: http://articulate-community.s3.amazonaws.com/david/2016/DragDrop-Cindy/cindy-dragdrop.mp4

Thanks so much again for sharing your work in the community. This is a really neat interaction!
