Just reaching out to harness your collective experience...what cool tools are you using in your courses? I'm familiar with PowToons and Plotagon, but what else is out there? Thanks in advance, looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi Alicia! I think you'll find that folks use a lot of different tools. For me, beyond Storyline and Rise, I regularly use Adobe Illustrator for custom graphics, Adobe Photoshop for image editing, PowerPoint for simple graphics, Camtasia for basic video editing and motion design....and much more.
I agree, Vyond for animated videos, Camtasia for simple videos, After Effects for special introduction slides, Audition for capturing audio, illustrator and of course Photoshop.
I currently work in academia which has limited funds.
For image creation and editing, I use Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer on my iPad. I bought them each for $15 when they were on sale (regularly cost $20). The Mac and Winows versions are $50 which is a fraction of the cost of Adobe and no subscription. They work with Adobe file formats.
I recently started using DaVincie Resolve and ShotCut for video editing which are both free and available for both Mac and Windows.
There are lots of great tutorials for all of those applications on YouTube and Lynda.com. Your local library may be subscribing to Lynda.com; which will allow you to access lessons for free.
Hi all -- I saw Vyond at TechKnowledge conference and thought it seemed like a great tool. Have you found it relatively easy and quick to get up to speed on it?

Hi Sau,
Looks like Wendy responded to you over here.
Thanks, Tim! Sounds like we are on the same page - I'm currently using those tools as well.
Vyond is a simple tool to create animation videos.
Photomirage allows you to create some nice effects with still images.

I haven't used it yet, but Visme for creating infographics looks cool.
