You've already taken a first great step by reaching out to this communnity. There are a bunch of really smart and talented heroes here that always seem to be able to answer my questions at least.
Articulate has created some nice tutorials you can view...
I would add that in addition to the tutorials, perhaps try and replicate a module/course that you have already built in another tool. That way, you know what you are trying to achieve, and can ask us more specific questions when you need help.
I always say have some fun. Choose a topic you kno well and build a course. My first course was on martial arts, I never finished it, but it was something I new well.
Have fun whilst you learn, post back when you need help
Hi Laura, I took a course I'd designed for another elearning software and built it in Articulate. This really helped to find out what I could and could not do (not much). The tutorials and blogs are great so dipping into those for ideas will help.

That being said, I found the product intuitive enough to start diving in and messing around with right away by creating a fake module or two.
Good luck and feel free to post any questions here.... someone will be able to answer them!
