Hi. I am designing a slide in which the learner clicks on an object which moves along a timeline until a date and then explodes to disappear. I guess I would use a slider? Any ideas?
I second the motion path option and then have a state change for the object so that it can "explode" and then use the time line or exit animation for it to disappear.

I would use motion paths. You can find it in the animation tab.
