Object State Help
Jun 15, 2017
Hey, so I've inherited a project at work from someone who's no longer with the company. Since I can't go to him for help, I'm hoping someone here might be able to save me.
I'm coming across an issue where a circle shape has a line coming off of it that I can't seem to get rid of. I know it's not a separate line object on the slide, and it seems to exist in the state because if I add a new state there is no line. Check it out:
Also, when I click on the state with the line, on the slide there appears a plus sign next to the object:
As much as I might google, I can't seem to find any info about this and have tried everything I can think of to fix it. I'm hoping it's just a simple fix that I'm overlooking, but any help is appreciated!

Ignore the plus, it is their to assist with editing position of objects between states; it will not show in the published project.
Regarding the line, you should be able to remove it by clicking it while in the edit states mode.
Be sure you are editing states. Click the state you wish to edit. Click the line to select it. Press delete on your keyboard. (assumes the shape itself wasn't edited to include the line as a single shape.)
Thanks, Owen. For some reason I hadn't been able to click the line itself when editing the state, but after your reply I tried clicking and dragging a selection box around the shape and that got it. Thanks for the help.
Glad you got it sorted out. :)
