Online ID Certificate

Hello All,

I'd like some advice about the certificate offered by ProfessorsOfInstructionalDesign.com: http://professorsofinstructionaldesign.com/index.htm  

I know it's not a University course, and I'll probably have a hard time impressing prospective employers, but I've been studying the POID course design and content closely, and I can completely see myself enjoying the format and hopefully learning a lot in the process. I suspect the POID might also be a lot cheaper (and quicker) than the usual University certificate course.

Will it be a waste of time? Would I be better off investing in a University certificate course? I'd be very grateful for some advice.
