I was just wondering if anyone could recommend any peer-reviewed journals regarding eLearning practices or just eLearning in general. I certainly am capable of using Google Scholar, but I was hoping someone could guide me to a few ‘above-par’ writings.
I don't have any journal recommendations for you, but Clark and Mayer's ELEARNING AND THE SCIENCE OF INSTRUCTION (2nd Ed) is based on research the authors did. It provides research-based rationales for sound e-learning practice. I love it.

Hi Ian,
Is there a specific area of elearning you're interested in? Searching for topics such as "educational media" will help narrow your results.
I used to read Journal of Educational Technology, but that was years ago. Here's a good list, but I can't give you any specific recommendations.

I would echo Brian's suggestion along with many of the books on the list Tom shared a while back.
