Photoshop Software Simulation
Jul 14, 2017
Here is an example software demonstration created in Storyline 2, which lets the user learn the steps to creating a black and white image in Photoshop before being given the chance to try it out for themselves. I previously shared it for the Elearning Noir challenge.
Both the Show Me and Try Me sections were created by using Storyline's record screen function.
A hints system uses layers to give the user a nudge in the right direction if they get stuck.
You can read a few more scattered thought about software simulations and hints systems over on my blog.

This is super cool, Helen! Thanks for sharing. We get tons of requests for software sim examples, so I'm sure the community will love it. :)
PS I added it to the examples hub so people can find it easily if they're looking for software sim examples: https://community.articulate.com/e-learning-examples/storyline-photoshop-software-simulation-example/
Hi Helen,
This is a very good example, it is really well-designed and inspiring to me. I would add just one thing; Home button to go back to main page on Tell Me section. Thank you.
Thank you Ridvan, and good point - I'll have to add one in!
Very smart and cool example, Helen! Love it!!! Tell me, Show me and Try me, 3 in 1 to accommodate all learning ways/choices. Great job!!!
Nicely done! A good example of software simulation. Kudos!
