Picture Blend Modes - Storyline 2

Good Morning,

I am working with the picture formatting > Blend modes and they do not appear to be working properly.

So I have a base image than I added what is a white square image above it that has noise added to it, to simulate high ISO on a camera. I want to set the blend mode to Multiply/Overlay to show the effects but nothing is happening. If you do this in an Adobe program(Flash/Illustrator) you get the perfect look.

Is this not possible in Storyline 2 or is there a work around, if anyone has used this before?
