Power Point hyperlinks

Hello,
I need help! I am developing a PowerPoint show. I have few topics name in my 1st ppt and then these topic name are linked to separate ppt with details on those topic. I want to make a ppt show for this in the end. So I am trying to hyperlink the topic name to other ppt, it opens the ppt instead of opening as ppt show. I tried to save the topic detail ppt as powerpoint show and then tried to hyperlink I, but it won't work. The show would hang and not move ahead.
Could anyone suggest some solution to it. I don't want to include all the slides in 1 single ppt.

The first thing that comes to mind is to merge all the powerpoint decks together. Then, instead of linking out to a separate powerpoint file, you could just hyperlink to the starting slide for each formerly-separate deck within your now-combined deck.

Hi Mansi,
You could try saving your files as PPS (slideshows) but also having a timed transition on each slide so it will play once it is opened.
Have a go with that, see how you get on :)
