Problem pausing and starting audio on a layer

Nov 10, 2015

I have a slide with multiple layers. On one of the layers, the learner can click on images to learn more. I have the audio ending there. Then when they are ready, to go on, I want to go to the next layer and start up the audio again. Is there a way to do this or do I need to just create a new slide?

Hi Shannon,

I might need more detail about what you're building, but it sounds like you might need to cut up your audio and have the relevant pieces on each layer.

I've run into a couple of issues doing this kind of thing in the past. Make sure your audio doesn't overlap if the user goes to the next layer before the audio finishes. You can do this in a couple of ways, either lock down your navigation until the audio is done, or you could create some true/false variables that will trigger the correct audio to play and the previous audio to pause.

Let me know if you'd like more detail around this or if I'm not quite understanding what you mean.
