I have an 8 second video that I want to continue playing. I've created a trigger to loop it. Once it stops play the video. It doesn't work and I've had this issue before. I need a fix.
There is absolutely no way to seamlessly loop video within Storyline currently. I am hoping many other people have also put in a feature request for this and the devs can make it happen, seems like a pretty standard feature to me, but I admittedly have no idea about their development process or goals.
You can loop video, but as I said, it wont be seemless, at best, there will be a quarter second gap between loops.
Yes, the trigger doesn't work and you have to insert a bit of silence which makes it looks like it's skipping. I like storyline, but I don't like all these workarounds.
I know it's far from ideal but sometimes a work around is better than being completely stuck!
Have you considered duplicating your video and using the duplicate in place of the silent audio clip? At 8 seconds in length it won't impact your file size a great deal and it should appear as though the video is looping?
The triggers for this would essentially start each piece of video when the other ends.

Thanks. I added the silent file but I don't consider this a good work
around because now there's a skip.

Yeah, it would, essentially. In practice, you get a gap.
