Professional Project for MTSU

Apr 15, 2011

I recently finished my profesisonal projct for MTSU's Master of Professional Studies Program.  I was actually just wanting some general feedback for the overall presentation.  Granted the course setup is built for viewing by my professors, but as far as content goes, I'd love some feedback on the (hopefully) good and/or bad, fixer-uppers, any lacking content, etc.  I made a point to make the course links accessible in many places (as I know navigation for online learners is key), and tried to make the format for the course generally easy to follow.  There is also a trainer's manual for in-class learning - this manual is an example and does not include the full guide to every part of the lesson plan.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, and I look forward to hearing from you and making some new friends in the e-learning community!

It looks great, Kyle.

There are two comments that I would like to make.

In the footer, do you plan to add the menus? Or leave them as a gray div.

Most of the web sites have the same head menu in their footer.

Also, this is just me. I think the font in the head section is a bit too informal.

(Add) Since you mention that your target audiences are relatively young,

I guess it is O.K.

You can download 'Web Developer Extension toolbar', one of the add-ons in Firefox.

It is a great tool to examine your own web site.

Good job!

Well, this being my first site, I used Weebly to create my site.  The focus for the project was more on content, and the site navigation is manageable.  Ideally I'd love to add the same head menu in the footer and I'm glad you pointed that out.  As for the font, I believe you are correct.  I may change the font type, but the target demographic for the project (which might end up as a youth and college program at a local venue here in Nashville, TN) is high school and college-age people between the ages of 16-22.  Would that still apply?

Oh - and I'll DEFINITELY check out the Extension toolbar - thanks for the resource!
