Hi Anthony, take a look at this example. To make a progress bar, you can create a variable and set a trigger in your slide master to adjust the value(+1) when timeline start the master slide. With this variable, you can easily display a text progress box as the example or even make it a progress bar with different states base on different values of the variable.
Hi Anthony! Joanne has provided you with some great suggestions, but I also wanted to make sure that you were aware of a couple more resources here on E-Learning Heroes.
You can check out the examples hub to find hundreds of published demos with all different types of projects.
You can also check out the Storyline 2 downloads hub for hundreds and hundreds of free templates you can use to kickstart your projects.
Yes, this works, but if they revisit the page, the variable will count again, and then numbering will be off. How can you stop it from counting on revisits?
Thanks for finding the bug, I did not see that one before. To fix the problem, we can add a trigger on the same master slide with a simple math. Since it will add one when timeline starts, we then subtract two when user clicks on the previous BTN. -2+1= -1 , that's what we need when backward.
