I understand that I can't test hyperlinks when in preview mode. That means I have to publish it first. Once it is published and if the hyperlinks do not work, am I able to update and re-publish? HELP!
Yes. Publishing creates all the files that are needed for your training project to run on the web or on a company's LMS. You can view the files through a browser locally on your machine (however, there is currently an issue with StoryLine 3 and chrome preventing this.) If you need to make changes, make as many as you need, save and republish. Your course folder/files will now have your updates for you to view/test again. There is no limit to how many times you can publish a course, nor do you have to have a course completely developed to publish and test what you have. Hope that helps.
Owen, thank you so much for the response. That is exactly what I needed to know. And the tidbit on Chrome is much welcomed as Chrome is what I use most often. I do have access to Internet Explorer. When publishing to the web, how do I ensure that Internet Explorer is used and not Chrome?
The Chrome issue is only a temporary bug that Articulate is working on and it only manifests itself when you are viewing your own files directly from your machine. Once you put them on a web server or LMS, your target audience should be able to view the files regardless of their browser.
