Publishing Engage

Hello,

I just purchase Articulate Engage and want to publish my power point. If I choose to publish to the web, it brings me to my C:// drive and, of course, nobody can open it.

What am I doing wrong? How can I publish the presentation so that someone who does not have Articulate can see it?

Hi Denice!

Thanks for posting your question here in the forums! 

Articulate Engage is used to create interactions from 20 pre-built interaction templates. You cannot open or publish a PowerPoint presentation with Engage. That would be done using a different software called Articulate Presenter (both Articulate Engage and Presenter can be purchased seperately, or as part of the Articulate Studio suite). 

If you want to publish a Powerpoint presentation, you would need to be using Articulate Presenter and follow these steps.

If you're working in Engage and you want to publish an Engage interaction you've created you can follow the steps here.

Thanks for the reply. I have Articulate Presenter, Engage and StoryLine. I
want to publish my Engage interaction on the web, but I get this link to my
c drive folder when I publish my engage interaction to the web:
file:///C:/Users
/dcurtis/Documents/My%20Articulate%20Projects/2221%20SW%20Auburn%20Rd%20-%20Engage%20output/interaction.html

Of course, this link cannot be opened by a non-Articulate user.

Hi Denice - Right, thanks for sharing that. Okay so once you've published your content for the web, you need to upload that content to a web server to create a URL/hyperlink for it that others can visit to see the course.

Nicole,
I find Articulate products amazing, but sometimes I find some of the
instructions not friendly. For example, none of these instructions are
shared when you watch the videos on how to publish Articulate interactions.
Is there someone that I can talk with directly for further instructions? I
am having problems with some of these instructions. See below: Thanks.

Log in to Google Drive .

2. Create a new folder.

3. Set this folder’s sharing settings to “*Public on the web*”

4. Upload the published output from your Articulate project. QUESTION:
WHERE DO I UPLOAD THE PUBLISHED OUTPUT IN GOOGLE DRIVE?

DO I UPLOAD ONLY THE LINK? CAN YOU INCLUDE A SCREEN OF THIS STEP?

5. Rename the appropriate launch file to *index.html*

- For an Engage interaction
,
rename the engage.html file.

*STEP 2: How to find the link for sharing:*

1. From within the folder containing your published content, copy the
characters after *drive.google.com/#folders/
*from the address bar as shown below.
