Ratio of PC to Mac in ID environment

I have a feeling I'm going to hate the answers to this question. How prevalent are Macs in the conception, production and end use in ID? Is it an issue? I have used both platforms and I prefer Macs.
I am a graphic designer considering a Master's in ID. I have worked both PC and Mac environments and anything involving Microsoft drives me up a tree. I just find their products non-intuitive and badly designed. Is there a Mac workflow and are there any conversion issues when preparing end content for the PC?
Many thanks

I had to reply to this one! You know, those people who have never used a Mac think we are part of a cult! (Only took me one month to join the crowd years back when I bought one. Such simple things like opening the lid and getting to work. I find everything works better on Mac. Even running Windows software through a virtual machine on Mac is faster and less "buggy".
Most popular products I've looked at are Windows. I reviewed MANY options before selecting Articulate. Captivate (Win or Mac) was a competitor but I think Articulate has an easier to use interface that does most everything needed. And, you can't beat the support from the staff AND the forums!
This could really put the kibosh on me going into ID. I despise MS products. I'm sure that most people who have a mac workflow are independents and I don't know if I could consult that quickly after getting a degree. I'll keep plugging for information and workflows.
I use a Mac for most of my work, I love Macs but TBH all Adobe products work better on PC's. No rose tinted spectacles here!
Hey Bruce, I use Macs for everything too (as many users here) except for articulate products, that run in a virtual windows machine.
It would be awesome to have tools that are native to Mac but until that happens, running windows in a virtual environment works.
There are many threads here that talk about this subject in more depth
