Resetting Quiz Result

Feb 27, 2015

I feel like I am on the verge of something or am just hitting a wall. I have a course in which users at the end must complete a submission form for documentation. In this course there are six questions. We would like to enable the resume prompt so users can take it at their own pace, but need to avoid the ability for them to resume on the submission form because then they can just enter other people's names or if they exit the computer and another user gets on, they will resume to the submission form, complete it, and receive credit without starting from the beginning.

What I have done is take a sample of this and attached it to this post. I have a one question slide followed by a slide with the receive credit button which takes the user to the result slide. I have two layers - one is the submission form and the other is an access denied pop up that sees if the user hasn't scored the appropriate amount he/she is directed back the course. I have enabled the menu for ease of access, but there will be no menu on the live course.

If you click on the receive credit slide from the menu, click the button, my access denied pop-up works and then it takes the user back to the question.

If you complete the question, click the button on the next slide, the form appears.

What I am struggling with is triggering the reset of results so that once that submission form appears the quiz results reset and if a user goes to refresh the page, clicks yes to resume the results have been reset and the access denied pop up will appear. My attempts so far at this trigger have been fruitless. The closest I came to something was enable a reset of result at the start of the timeline, but then the submission form won't appear when a user does complete the question. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!

I looked at this for a bit and I have managed to reset results but, that's not going to fix the issue.  Because the ability to continue were the learner left off goes back to the specific page regardless of rules in place.   I'm thinking of maybe creating your own custom "Return were you left off?" splash screen that would work of a set of true\false  variables on each slide.  I will try something out and get back to you.
