Rise and learner entering there details

Jan 24, 2018

Hi all a few years ago there was a post and a how to that showed you how to have a screen where the learner enters their name and then this is used throughout and even on a summary screen at the end... does anyone know if this can be achieved in rise

Hi Mark

1.  Create a text variable called userName with default blank (i.e. empty)

2.  On your login page insert a data entry field and assign the variable userName to it.

3.  On any page/location where you want to display the users name insert a text box and while it is selected from the menu select [Insert \ Reference] and then select the userName variable.

Thereafter once the user has typed his or her name into the username field the text boxes will automatically show it.

Mark,

RISE doesn't support a native variable at the moment. I do know that a request has been made to add variables to the app. I'm not privy to that side of things at Articulate but here is a post that might provide you with insight on how to accomplish it in the meantime.
