Hi everyone. In Rise is there a way to use your own character or no character for a branching scenario? I have a course that is exclusively using illustrations and not photos. I would love to use the branching scenarios but can't find a way to get rid of the photo character.
As it currently stands there is not a way to swap the characters in the Rise scenarios with your own. However there is a way to add your own characters.
When you publish a rise course, you'll see inside the output folder a folder with all the character images. I believe there are 12 that represent the core reaction options. You can add your characters to that folder and just use the same name. Essentially you're swapping the characters.
Hey Traci! I just wanted to chime in and share a few resources on the topic in case it helps.
I recently wrote this article that shows different ways to create scenarios in Rise 360. Although the scenario block is mentioned, I also talk about other blocks you can use that would allow you to upload your own characters right within Rise 360. Just an idea! If you like it, you can send a copy to your Rise 360 dashboard and customize it to your liking.
Also, since we're on the topic of creating branching scenarios, here are two examples that I like to say "think outside the block." 😁
Good resources. As Sarah noted, you can create your own scenario structure by combining blocks. Here's an example of an old scenario in built in Rise two ways. The first I built using blocks and the second using the scenario block.
How did you hide content on the page until a learner clicks the button. I originally thought it was taking me to the next lesson but it appears to just reveal additional content on the page.

That's a the continue block you can find in the dividers.
It would be great to be able to select No Character as an option!
