Thank you Thomas for sharing this file. It is very much appreciated. Thomas, I see the fade animation. But I can't figure out how you got it to flip. Can you explain it to me?
Hi Tamarah, this was from a long time ago so I imagine you've dealt with the issue now but just in case you were looking for an answer I actually created something similar!
Take the item you want to flip and copy it
Paste it twice onto it's own layer - once in the Normal State and once in the flipped state
Add the swivel animation to both items
First, swivel the Normal state item and have it disappear on the timeline after the animation is complete
Make the Flipped state item appear as the Normal is disappearing again with the swivel animation
It will look as though it's swivelling through both states and then settle on the flipped side!
I can share a .story file with this tactic if you like :).
Hi - I am really engaged by your recipe that you provided - anyway you can share a simple storyfile of what you are describing to Tamarah. I just happened to have a discussion about this with a colleague of mine yesterday and I wanted to convey it is doable.
