Can anyone advice me on a WP LMS I want to add rise to my site and charge access to the course from my website and record completion and so on.. I used LifterLMS how every it does not host scorm and will not use rise as an XAPI?
Do you really need to track completion to sell these courses? An alternative would be to just publish your Rise courses in Web format rather than xAPI format. You can still restrict access and charge for them, just like you would for any other content in LifterLMS.
I used Lifterlms for a long time with Storyline 2 then used the xapi add on however Rise would not work properly crashing out every couple of days the course would go missing had to reinstall the tincan again, noone could tell me why..
If you had that much trouble with LifterLMS, you could try LearnDash. That should also work with xAPI, assuming you have your site and LRS configured correctly.
An alternative would be to have the Rise content in your LifterLMS site, but build the final test directly in LifterLMS instead of in Rise. Then you can track directly in LifterLMS and provide the certificate using what's built into LifterLMS. Then you wouldn't need any xAPI tracking.
Both LearnDash and LifterLMS do not have native xAPI support. xAPI support is based on third party addons and LearnDash has much better and robust support for it. With plugins like GrassBlade xAPI Companion.
Hi Raymond I used the xapi add on for lifterlms it works after a fashion. However there is an issue that XAPI dumps out your files ever few days this has happened to myself and a a client on separate sites, I gave up using it.

You can export Rise in xAPI format, so if your LifterLMS site is set up with an LRS, that should work. Are you using the xAPI add-on?

With regards the need to track I need the student to take a test at the end of the course and receive a downloadable certificate..

HI Mark,
Have you found a solution to your problem? I am working on adding my Rise360 courses into LifterLMS using the tincan xAPI function.

Hi Mark,
This is very odd and very interesting. I do not know how the LifterLMS xAPI plugin works. But what you explained sounds quite odd.
Hope your site is not hacked, or something like that going on?
