Hi, will articulate let you do a screen capture of a particular series of "clicks"? Will it then let you replay it getting the user to re-enact the sequence they have seen?. If not what tool do you suggest I use for this. Thanks
Articulate Presenter does not have that ability. Screenr is a free tool that Articulate offers for screen recording, but it does not have the ability to break it up into actions for the learner to take.
The best tool for that - that I know of - is also created by Articulate (Storyline), but it is currently only Beta at this time. Hopefully, you will be able to get your hands on it soon.
If you can't wait for Storyline - which is great - and you need something right now, Adobe Captivate provides the functionality you're looking for, Sonia.
Also, a number of years ago I had also used uPerform (formerly from RWD, but now apparently Ancile). It had the same functionality, but I found it to be rather limiting. Don't know if they've changed anything recently, but it could be another option.
But if you can wait for Storyline, then it could be the best bet. Not only is it a great product, but since it's an Articulate product it could be easier for you to pick up and learn.
There are many tools with the ability to capture a process on-screen by clicks of the mouse. Captivate is a great one, and a little on the pricey side. A less expensive alternative is Demo-Builder. I use both depending on what I need. Note that Captivate has both Mac and PC versions, where Demo-Builder is only availble for pc.
Storyline is still in the BETA testing phase but it seems (to me) as if it is close to shipping. However, there is no date announced when it will be ready. Maybe you can try to get on the BETA testing group.

Thanks everyone for answering my question. As a follow up, does anyone know the time frame around Storyline - when it will be available?
