Screen Recording

Community,
Can anyone share how to record a webpage without having to record scrolling left to right and up and down?
I have tried Screenr, Jing, SnagIT, Camtasia with no luck. I tried to record at full screen with Screenr and compress in the Articulate video encoder and even with Camtasia. What happens when I compress to an acceptable articulate size 720 X 480 or lower the screen becomes blurry.
Any suggestions? Free tools?
Thanks,
Angela

In respect to Camtasia, have you tried pausing the Camtasia Recorder while you scroll, recording individual camrecs, and using a transition effect to ease the viewer's eyes as you move to a different position?
Thanks for the reply I will try that. Maybe they can record in screenr, jing or snag-it and I can edit in the transitions.
Good idea. I'll try and see what happens.
Generally, I think snagit and camstudio will do the job for you, those two programs are good to use and professional. Record screen according to your preference. I am not sure why you cannot do this, you are able to decode video. If not, just have a try this video download capture, not specialize in recording screen, but just characteristic of recording.
Generally, I pause the presentation, and verbally alert the user. In Captivate I use an animated down-arrow.
Also, I try to avoid the left to right scroll. I will often do a Crtl+Mouse Wheel so that the screen fits.
I also try to make the recording as close to 720 X 540 as possible when I know it will be going into Presenter.
I think this software may meet your needs. It is able to record PC screen in good image quality. It offers several modes to record, such as custom area, full screen, select window etc. You can have a look at it.
