Scrolling & Audio Ideas
Apr 03, 2019
Hello!
I'm currently creating an elearning module in Storyline 3 that allows the user to scroll the content of a slide before moving on. My problem lies when implementing the audio. I'm wondering if there is a better way than creating an triggered audio icon for the user to click at the beginning of each section of the slide before progressing. I feel like this option could possibly frustrate the user and/or make the design look a little cluttered. My only other idea is to have a pause in the audio and then stating each individual section before it begins. Which seems like the cleaner idea, but has the drawback of possibly limiting the pace of the user. Has anyone else run into this dilemma? What solution did you find? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Chris

Hi Christopher,
Have you considered breaking your slide up into several layers and having the learner click on buttons to view the layers? That way, you could have the audio start when the learner clicks on the layer.
I hope that makes sense! Let me know if not. :)
Hello Allison,
That makes total sense! That may help break up any elongated audio I may have. Thank you so much!
Chris
