Share Powerpoint E-Learning?

Nov 09, 2020

Hi all,

Since the company I now work for doesn't have a LMS or articulate or anything, I'm now creating e-learnings with powerpoint. That in itself isn't the problem (thanks for the nice templates, dear community), but how do I share a powerpoint e-learning in a way that users still have the interactive parts to click on but won't be able to change anything in the templates? Meaning: Is there a way to share an e-learning based on powerpoint? Also, users should be able to download the training to do it offline so as not to be reliant to a stable internet connection.

I'm aware that this is not an articulate-related problem, but maybe there still is somebody out there helping me out here?

Thanks a lot and have a great day,
Manu

Hi Manu, I used to use pptx as an interactive document and I also didn't want the end user be able to go into the edit mode, I wanted pptx to go straight into the full screen mode. If you save the PPTX as a  Powerpoint show .PPSX it will automatically open in full screen. I also took it to the next stage by disabling the next and previous arrows and inserted dedicated buttons to do all the navigation actions, i.e jump to next and previous pages, home button etc Look at setting these up in a master slide so they appear on all inserted slides. You also need to change a couple of settings to enable this please see the attached file. Note however that you can still access the edit version if you open the PPSX file from within PowerPoint by using the Open from the file menu. Have a play around with this it might be what you are looking for!

Cheers Gerry
