Should I use LMS

Jan 19, 2019

For use initially as an after-school class activity but possibly then for additional classes, so multiple individual users, each at different places in their progress will need to be accommodated.

I intend producing four (maybe five) independent learning modules which each include some video, audio, multiple scenes (slide groups) and possibly unassessed quizzes.

Pupils, or pupil groups, will need to login and have the option to resume from their last noted activity (slide number, quiz, etc.) or restart from the beginning.

Pupils can repeat modules as often as they wish as some contents will be games they will like (hopefully) so there is no record of how many attempts made.

I have read reviews of LearnDash and a couple of other LMS options and also membership only plug-ins for Wordpress, although Wordpress does not have to be the only option.

can any group members point me in a few directions for further reading, sample sites, etc. so I can make a more practical decision of how to move forward.

I am not adverse to trying something new and have some limited experience with Java.

thaks all for all the other technical articles, questions and solutions throughout the Community
