I am converting a PowerPoint presentation to an elearning module. The SME who created the PPT has created a complicated workflow of three different scenarios that could take place with somewhere between 6 to 8 different steps. What suggestions do you have the same slide and show the path and importance for each scenario without adding audio?
I work a lot with eLearning for new workflows and new ways of working. When I can't use audio and video (which I think it's by far the best approach for this), I make a small story just to get the most important ideas - like a comic char that has to perform that workflow - and then display a map for the learners to explore if the workflow is really complex.
Based on the info you provided, I would approach this with layers where the learner can (by way of a slider or buttons) activate or deactivate parts of the workflow. If canvas\stage space is an issue, you could also do the same but with multiple lightboxed slides.

Hi Carrie,
I work a lot with eLearning for new workflows and new ways of working. When I can't use audio and video (which I think it's by far the best approach for this), I make a small story just to get the most important ideas - like a comic char that has to perform that workflow - and then display a map for the learners to explore if the workflow is really complex.
Do you think it helps in your case?
Rita.

Thank you both for responding. These are great ideas! I will try them out and see what I can get to work.
Hi Rita, can you post an example of what you described?
Thank you!
