I am currently building e-learning in Storyline and I am trying to figure out a way to show the content that the user has written down in a survey question on the next slide. For example: if I add a survey question in which I want the user to write down his/her favorite animal (perhaps a dog), then I want to show in the next slide that the user just answered 'dog' in the previously slide, so that this slide can build upon or continue on with that answer. Has this been done before, or does anyone have tips on how to do this? Thanks in advance!
You would use the Input option in the Insert menu then select the Text Entry Field in the Data Entry option. You can either keep the default variable, or create a new one by double clicking on the trigger created when you added the Input.
Then to show the input data on any page you like, you would Insert a Text Box. Then, in the Text Box, you would insert the Reference by clicking on the Reference option in the Text area of the Insert tab.
