Slider used as Buttons

May 07, 2020

Dear Community,
I need your wisdom!

I worked  on some slides with sliders. We got feedback from our users that the slider was to weird to use, so I added a function to click the slider insted of move them.
Now it workes while clicking but if the user will move the slider backwards, it will only show the layer slides, not the base slide again. I tried a lot.
Maybe I have to erease the whole slider und need to insert just a button, but I really hope someone here can show me how I can fix this issue.

If you have another idea how I can increase the usabilty to this slide, I would be very thankful.

Hi Nicole,

This is an easy fix. I have amended the Layer Properties for Untitled Layer 1 to Hide Other Slide Layers (this then matches the other layers and ensures that Untitled Layer 2 will be hidden when Untitled Layer 1 is shown when the user drags the slider back to the left) and added a new trigger to hide Untitled Layer 1 when the slider moves and the slider variable is equal to zero:

What was happening before was that there wasn't a trigger to hide Untitled Layer 1 when the slider moved back to the beginning and so, whether the slider variable was zero or one, the first layer was still visible over the top of the base layer.
