Came across this great little piece of software called snag it - the paid option is only $48 (U.S). I suppose most people know about it - but i think its great. Much improved image quality from the old 'screen shot' stuff.
Yes SnagIt is one of TechSmith's great tools. If you have Windows 7, it also includes a tool called the Snipping Tool in its Accessories area. That's pretty neat as well.
I used it for a while and I find it is a pretty cool software, considering its price! I think I will purchase it soon..
I know that also Tom Kuhlmann is a Snag it fan (and that makes a guarantee), as you can also read in this interview we realized where we talk about the five instruments he cannot live without when producing e-learning courses (english version at the bottom).
LOVE Snagit!!! totally worth the money - use it every single day - and it archives all your captures for you automatically, so if you take a capture, then forget about it, or don't use it right away (and put something else on your clipboard), it's not gone! nice drawing features, stamps, and some basic image editing - including transparency. TOTALLY awesome, you should get it
