Spinning an arrow that need to stop in the middle of 5 places

Jul 16, 2020

I am attaching an image of the wheel I am using in my demonstration. I need to rotate this arrow twice and stop it in the middle of each place, but it would be better if I could change the sequence, such as stopping at house 2, then house 4, ... (it doesn't have to be random)

I already saw some examples but none of them is what I want. Could someone please help me with this challenge? Thanks

Hi Richard,

I am not sure if I have fully understood what you are after so the attached example provides two options.

On the first slide, the user clicks the Play button in the centre of the dial and the dial rotates twice clockwise and then settles on a random area during its third rotation. I have achieved the two spins at the start by placing a copy of the dial on a separate layer. This layer shows when the Play button is clicked and the dial has a Spin entrance animation with two spins in 3 seconds.

When the entrance animation completes for the dial, a variable (DialStop) is set to a random number between 1 and 5, and the layer is automatically hidden. Back on the base layer, a timer is activated, which controls the dial's variable (Dial) and adds 1 to it each time the animation of a rectangle on a 0.25 second motion path completes. the dial itself turns each time the variable is increased until it reaches the value of DialStop.

On the second slide the user can simply manually turn the dial to whichever area they wish to visit. The dial can be rotated through two complete rotations clockwise.

Hope this helps, but if you have any further queries, just get back to me here.
