State won't change on photo when user clicks shape
Oct 14, 2019
Dear Community,
I have an option through out my course, when they select an shape answer, it should change change the state of a photo which is of the lecturer or asking the question and giving the response. The response, changes just fine, but not the state of photo.
Is this even possible? If so, I would love to know how... since I have it everywhere. If is not, what would be the alternative? I am not using buttons, since I want the conversational shape. I am not using normal quizzing slides since the client was requesting multiple variable issues.
Please ignore the formatting, I just imported into a single slide to sent it out for thoughts
Thanks for the help.

This could be because of the value of your variable Character. I added a text box that displays the value of that variable. I recommend taking a look at where in your project that variable is being set.
Ah.. Diane, the character value was for the student was picking the answer. That one is working fine when you do the whole the project it is the lecturer or the Person who is asking the question. I guess, I could make the lecturer also have a separate variable and see if that works?
Um.. Diane, I tried that. I added an additional value of Ryan. This would then change when the learner (character) selected an answer and click submit. The photo ( Ryan) still doesn't change states..

I wonder if its because they are gifs - have you tried replacing with another file type?

Well Wendy, I tried the png. It didn't work. Sent to Articulate to see if they could figure it out. Thanks Wendy and Diane for trying.
