Does anyone know if Crazytalk Animator works with SL3? I'd like to try adding animation to my courses but am unsure if these two products work together. Has anyone out there tried it? If so do you have any examples?
yes it does. We created (Dan was our developer who did this) a CrazyTalk human character that has narrated, lip synching as a mentor throughout the course. It allows us to change characters depending upon the need without going back to a studio. A screen is attached. This CrazyTalk character is guiding the learner through various rooms, offices, warehouse etc to describe each environment which the learner will fulfill specific assignments in each case.
Looks really good David, any chance of a peek in at a working stage? I've been toying with this for a while, but my strentgh is video production, so I always go back to a real person on green screen. like you say, fixes and changes can get costly.
Garth/Pam - here is a short snippet of the course example. The client logo is covered and the content needed to be revised but you will get a sense of the project. The avatar is in different parts of the building explaining the specific needs and requirements of each area and then returns after assessments to provide some feedback. Hope this helps.
