Storyline E-Learning courses listed as scholarly contributions on academic CVs

Feb 12, 2019

Hello, I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics at an R1 institution/university.  For the past several years, I have been creating E-Learning courses using Storyline.  This has not been a collaborative effort; I have been acting as designer, creator and content specialist.  All of the images used in my courses are open-source and the content is created by me.  I would like to list these modules as scholarly contributions on my curriculum vitae (CV). I believe they would be most similar to textbook chapters.  This is different from listing online classes, as they are stand-alone interactive content modules. Please note also that I am referring to a CV as a static document.

I am hoping to reach out and ask advice from other academics in the Articulate E-Learning Heroes community who act as content specialists, designers and course creators.  I have two questions: 1) how might one list these scholarly contributions on one’s CV and 2) would it be better to publish them to an OER site and then make reference to that published source on the CV?   I am happy to share these interactive modules (both .story files and published courses) with other statistics teachers but not sure the best way to do that.  Although that may be a separate issue.

I appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Cheers,

Suzanne
