I'm dropping a freebie template for my submission on ELH Challenge #123 for course starters. This one has a navigation menu controlled from the slide master and also a tutorial option video for the elearner.
That's a bit odd because I uploaded a .storytemplate file which should open if you are opening it with Storyline2. Here are two things you could do:
Download the template file to your PC with SL2 on it and double click to open it. Also, make sure you are not opening the file from Google Drive or similar app.
Open SL2 first and go to "Import>Import from story template" (see attached)
Hi Alex, sorry if I seem ignorant here. I understand the Import process but when I click on your storytemplate file, it saves as a zip folder. Where is the .story or storytemplate file that I import?
I did some testing on MS Edge and had the same issue. So, I'm dropping the .story file here for those folks who can't download the .storytemplate file.
I am re-doing a Ladder Safety course that I did in Articulate to Storyline 2 and searched for an appropriate background and came across this template. This is a great start! Thanks.

Alex, when I try to open the download file, it is a zipped file and all I get is a bunch of folders and files. Where or how do I get the .story file?

OMG. The problem was IE. I tried Firefox and it worked.

I get the zip file as Daniela describes, Microsoft Edge. I have no problem with other downloadable story files here.

Maybe try a right-click>download
It seems some browsers are trying to directly open the file structures. It seems to work on Chrome.
