Student unable to download module
Jul 15, 2014
I have created some simple quizzes and have posted it to my BlackBoard LMS. One student is having trouble downloading the modules (he can't get past the spinning downloading icon).
He is using a MacBook Air 2014 model, and is staying at a hotel.
He is staying at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and has only the "3 mbps wifi and not the 5 mbps connection". I'm not sure exactly what that means or if it would be relevant to his problem. I told him I'd ask y'all. Do you think it is the slower / worse connection that won't let him download his quiz / homework module, or no?
Thanks!
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,
It sounds like it could be the connection. It could also be the Mac or the browser. I've had some Mac users have difficulties accessing our courses also sometimes the LMS and the browser don't play well together. Our LMS (Litmos) doesn't like Google Chrome. You could suggest trying another browser.

That's a plenty fast connection for most content. You might try asking him to hit http://www.supportdetails.com and report his Flash Player version. If the wrong Flash player version is used, it could cause the module not to load.
MBA 2014 model should have a new enough Flash player. Worth confirming.
