Sub Layers not functioning properly

Jul 23, 2020

Hi,

I am working on existing template by Paul Mayor. Since I have too much much info, I have added tabs into 3rd layer and added sub layers to it. But now,

  1. Cross/Close button is not popping up in any of the sub layers of Layer 3
  2. When I click back on the 1st tab, it doesn't go directly to the tab-1 and then goes to the base layer automatically. I have changed the setting of the layer too but doesn't work.

Please HELP!

I just started digging in, but am being called away to work on a task. My findings so far are that your sub layers for Slide 3 are set to "Hide Other Slide Layers" in the properties. Since the only Cross/Close I could find for those layers is on the "3" layer, I have to assume you meant for layers 3a, 3a copy, and 3a copy (2) to show the information on layer 3. I'd either turn that setting off or add the Cross/Close to the 3a layers. Good luck!

Thanks Kalena. I can have the the cross button on 3a copy (2) and that would work. I had tried that and it works but I wanted it to work as it is working on 1 and 2 layers. So, I will have that as a workaround.

The other issue still stands, while previewing each tab under the 3rd rectangle. It works when I progress from tab 1 to tab 2 to tab 3 AND move backwards from tab 3 to tab 2, BUT, when I move from tab 3/2 to tab 1, it doesn't work properly. Rather than just showing tab 1, it takes me to base layer for 2 seconds and then shows tab 1 for few seconds and then take it back to base layer.

Your tabled layers are set to hide other layers so you lose your close button. You would need to set the close to hide the tabbed layers as well.

the pause layer trigger on 3 is disabled so will hide itself after 5 seconds.

the intro tab should show 3a rather than 3, you will have to set triggers to hide the 3a, b and c layers as removing hide other layers means you will have to control their display.

Otherwise nice to see it getting reused.
