I have an early retirement grid that I'd like to turn into an interactive tool/game on SL. I wouldn't be using the entire grid, just 10 or so examples. Any suggestions on templates that might be helpful or how to do this without too much trouble?
They would be able to manipulate 2 variables - income & expenses. When they make changes they would be able to see how it impacts number of years to financial independence.
This is a relatively simple interaction - done in Storyline 2 - using sliders and bars (vertical and horizontal) that could act as more of a helper to visualize where the axes cross.
Another possibility might be to start with just the sliders visible on the base layer and have a submit (or other) button to display the grid on a layer and display the bars (or other shape) where the variables combine on your grid. A button to try again on this layer could hide it and allow further manipulation of the 2 variables.
The sliders could be replaced with text entry fields also for input of the variables, but your grid triggers might need to be changed to look for a range of numbers rather than the single digits used in the slider.

What would be the objective of the game or tool?
Are you thinking of some sort of quizzing being incorporated and how to have the learner get feedback based on clicking somewhere on the grid?
It's hard to tell by just looking at a static image of the grid.

Hopefully it's an idea generator anyway.
Thanks. I'll play around with it. I'm pretty new to Storyline so still finding my way around...
