Hi guys!
its me again, the man with the problems! this one will be fairly interesting tho.
I have been working with course built from another person and we have made some modifications to it to make the course more genric. to do this i have copyed the files as a new powerpoint etc.
i have edited some of the text, change the back ground, and re -imported the audio and re added the flash movies from the orignal. The problem now is that the audio does not finish before the slide. if remove the flash movies, then the slides go to the same length of the audio...confused?
Any help you guys can give me would be great!
Keith

Hi Keith! Yeah, that sounds odd. How did you re-insert your audio? Did you do it via the Articulate menu?
Hey everyone - Fairly new to e-learning. Just wanted to confirm copyright on microsoft clipart images. Not quite clear on it yet. Can they be used for commercial purposes and how do you know if they can't? Any other sites that offer free graphics and images?
Jeff
Hi Jeff. Here's a document from the Microsoft website that you can take a look at regarding use of "media elements and templates," including clip art. Many folks interpret it like this blog reader does.
Here's a copyright presentation I had bookmarked from a past conference that you might find helpful.
Also here's another forum discussion that contains some links that folks shared.
Hi Keith... when you insert a Flash movie, there are a couple of options under "How Should This Movie Behave."
First, there's "Advance to the Next Slide." Set this to "When User Clicks Next" and I think you'll be okay.
Best Regards,
Dave
Ah, great catch Dave! I completely missed that the issue was happening only on the movie slides.
Koolio, i have tried that , but alas! it does not fix the problem!
Its very very weird, i am using the same text (no animations) Same flash movie and same audio, but its seems that (in preview) that the audio does not finish before the slide! yet, if you move the tracker bar, the audio syncs up better, the closer you are to the end
hair pulling session too follow!
I have also noticed that it seems to be the preview that is having trouble, i am going to build the course and see what happen. report soon!
Well its seems after some testing, the course (once build) still inhererits the same sync problem. has any one, seen this problem before?
After a little experiment, I have found that with out the Flash movies, the slides time to the audio, which i believe is normal for articulate.
Now adding the flash movies to run indipendantly from the slide, rather than in sync seems to have solved the problem! going to add then all and let you know!
that seems to have worked!! Good times
Awesome to hear that, Keith. Thanks for reporting back!
You are persistant Keith! Well done in puzzling out the problem. So the answser was to choose Advance to the next slide: When user clicks next AND the Synchronization: Movie plays independently of slide.
