I had a similar problem before on this course and was able to fix it; however, then my file corrupted so I'm back to square one! I'm using a text entry box and want it to carry over onto a slide. It acts as if it recognizes the %TextEntry% that I have used but it doesn't carry over the text. I have tried using %TextEntry1% too thinking that was the issue.
I've had this problem in the past, and the text actually was carrying over, I just couldn't see it. Is the font color black or some other color besides white on the receiving end?
That was initially the problem when I created this course the first time; it kept typing in white. However I have clicked on the Text Entry box and chosen "black" a few times to be sure. It also usually will let me highlight those areas when it's white and I can't see it but this time it doesn't do that, so I don't think that's the issue. I attached a screenshot in case I'm missing something.
OK, it's all fixed and attached. It either didn't like the fact that the reference was on a layer, or there was a variable that may have been added my mistake. I didn't see a reason for it, so I just deleted it, and everything worked. Hope this works for you now.

Jessica if you just want another set of eyes, send me the file and I'll be happy to take a look.
Thanks! I just emailed it to you Donna.
