I'm interested in your opinion. For various customer service projects I still use a combination of a paper workbook, e-learning modules and peer2peer learning.
What do you think? Do you still use a paper workbook with assignments in your training or do you facilitate everything online?
I usually generate a flipbook manual with my e-learning courses. Users can then download the manual or print it out. I include notes pages for them if they want to use it as a workbook as they work through the course. I host both on our learning management system.
Hi Theresa, interesting and a good tip! And how long do these courses take? Normally I use a workbook as an on-boarding tool for courses spread over a period of two weeks.
Usually short modules of no more than an hour in duration. We could probably combine the short modules into one larger course and have one workbook for it.
We provide workbooks in some cases. If we want the learner to take notes, etc., and have some sort of 'take away' from the eLesson. Having something in their own words seem to enforce the learning's focus and can be used a reference guide.
