Timing of assessment

Oct 28, 2015

I am desigining a new e-learning module about specific safety instructions. The application of the safety instructions will be assessed by quiz-questions. But I was wondering: what do you think is the best timing for quiz-questions? After the learner has finished the content, or in between the the topics? And what do you think is the best timing for feedback: directly after answering the quiz-question, or after finishing the whole module?

Whenever I design a course with that type of concept,I never split up an assessment test (a test which their grade is being recorded).

Instead, what I choose to do is insert "quiz" questions that check for understanding after each section of material, but they are not graded on these questions. Make them similar in topic to what your end assessment test will be, but not the same.

Good luck!
