I'd like the objectives to on the page to turn another colour when I say the objective. I added a layer with the text box in a different and thought to add a trigger to the layer. Is that right? Does anyone have any instructions on how to do this?
Manisha, here is my favorite Storyline trick. If you want to place a trigger on the timeline, the trick is to place an object that starts on the timeline at the moment you want your trigger to fire. Then insert your trigger on that obect. Obviously you don't want your learner to see the extra object, so you place it off-stage.
I've attached a story file doing what you have described. I didn't add audio, but the timing here would be easy to synchronize to audio. For each text box, I added a state with color. Then for each color change, there is an object that starts on the timeline when each color change needs to take place.
The key trigger is Change state of target object to new state when the timeline starts on your off-stage object

That's a great trick, Meryem! I've never played with offstage objects like that before, but I will now!
Thank you so much!
Hi Meryem,
Thank you for this trick. I thought I would have to add a layer and then add a trigger to that layer.
So would I cue the audio to the off stage object? Is that right?
Kind regards,
Manisha
Yes. Set your off-stage object to start on the timeline at your cue points on the audio,
