Tip for asset management - screenr included
Mar 12, 2012
We get so many great resources through this community, it can be hard to keep track of them all. Here is a screenr showing a tip I picked up from another community member. It shows you how to make a catalog to keep track of your PowerPoint template library.
It's also a great way to share templates with other team members. Stick the catalog on a shared network location and update it every time someone makes/adds a new template.
What ways have you found to manage your own or team assets?

Thanks for those great tips, Natalia. Keeping notes in the margins is something I do as well. I used to maintain notes in a separate doc, but after a while, I found I took better notes in real time in the actual project files. They're not always easy to find outside of the PowerPoint files, but they sure are helpful when I or a teammate returns to the project a year after it was first put together.
Great tips and screencast.
So helpful, both the screenr and Tom's point of marginalia. Am feeling like a good digital spring clean is in my future!
Thanks for posting that Natalia.
Works for me - thanks!
