Tip for when you are updating courses - remember to check the small details
May 15, 2020
Just a small tip/reminder for when you might be updating/refreshing older courses into new versions.
I recently had a few older courses where the content didn't change, except for a slide or 2, but my main refresh was the template. I did my few changes and went to do a quick review of them and wondered why my quiz questions were no longer working. I couldn't see any of the checkboxes showing up when I clicked them on.
When I changed the template and colour scheme it also changed the default colour of my checkmarks. So where I used to have blue marks, they were now an almost pale grey and against a white background appeared to not be working.
So, if you are doing a refresh....remember 2 things:
1) always do a run through to ensure the course is functioning and appears as anticipated - even if just (or especially when) you are changing the colour, template, font, slide size
2) keep a back up of the "version that worked" so you have something to reference when you do make any changes
Cheers
