The Store Training Team of the Global Organizational Capabilities department is looking for an Articulate Storyline eLearning Developer Consultant. The ideal candidate for this position will design and development eLearning for all U.S. Toys”R”Us and Babies”R”Us retail stores. The candidate must have expertise at using Articulate Storyline and extensive knowledge around adult multi-generational learning principles and instructional design.  He or she should have an eye for creativity and out of the box thinking in order to create dynamic interactive eLearning modules that WOW our store teams! Retail is an extremely fast paced, constantly changing environment with often tight deadlines. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use Articulate Storyline to design and develop store training eLearning modules.
  • Draw on extensive knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles & concepts to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluation learning initiatives.
  • Excellent graphic design skills, with the ability to develop multimedia content for e-learning modules and supporting training collateral.
  • Work with SME’s in various departments to rapidly develop and deploy e-learning and/or other various learning materials.
  • Analyze instructional needs, define learning requirements, and make effective recommendations for action.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and self-managed; ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal coaching or supervision.
  • Ability to organize and work under strict time and production deadlines, while producing quality deliverables.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills to include advanced collaboration skills. 
  • Proven ability to engage audiences in learning topics and to quickly and effectively respond to stakeholder needs. 

Research new technologies to assists in the teams’ continued improvement of content development processes and standards, recommending changes required to match or surpass e-learning industry standards.

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Experience in Instructional Design and/or eLearning Development; Retail industry experience preferred. 
  • Master storyteller able to craft stories that relate the unknown to the known; able to create immersive, narrative-driven, learning experiences that expose learners to new beliefs or reframe current beliefs that drive effective behaviors; able to simplify and rationalize the complex and irrational. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple obligations simultaneously in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, complex execution environment and do so virtually across multiple functions and geographies. 
  • Proven ability to effectively manage projects in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Must display original thinking and creativity and excel at meeting challenges with resourcefulness and innovative ideas.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in developing training for a variety of audiences.
  • Knowledge of and experience with authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline and Pro Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and PhotoShop (Illustrator preferred).
  • Knowledge of and experience with MS-Office 2010 required.
  • Multi-media literacy required (Video production experience a plus).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an instructional design or training position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Business, Communication or related field preferred.
